Jim Corbett is India's oldest national park, set up in 1936, and one of the original sites of Project Tiger. The park is divided into zones, each needing a separate permit, and safaris run in jeeps or canters. Tiger sightings are not guaranteed, but the forest and riverside scenery make a visit worthwhile on their own.
